Vacuuming, using and moving helps against moths. As a precaution, lavender sachets can be placed or neem tree oil applied (if you like the smell). Moth paper is also an option as a non-biological variant. In the case of severe infestations, beneficial insects such as parasitic wasps can be used. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Surface friction<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is a sign of the naturalness of natural wool products that lint forms over time. This so-called pilling is caused by surface friction and can be removed with a lint shaver or by plucking it off. <\/p>

With “superwash” finishes or “anti-pilling” for clothing, the scales of the wool fibers are filled with synthetic resin or similar or removed with chemicals. This prevents the wool from pilling. It is therefore not a sign of good quality if wool does not pill, but rather that it has been chemically treated. This also applies to “mothproof” or other additional properties that wool does not naturally have. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Light soiling can usually be removed by dabbing with a little soap and a sponge. Pillowcases can be washed cold in the wool wash program. Then pull into shape and dry flat. Carpets can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner on a high setting. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Care of large carpets<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Vacuum regularly on a high setting. If possible, also vacuum the rear side from time to time. Regular turning and rotating can distribute loads more evenly. <\/p>\n

For spot stains, dab the stain with a damp sponge and mild soap. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, a towel can be placed under the carpet to avoid damaging the floor with moisture. The wool can be dabbed dry immediately afterwards with a towel. If necessary, leave a towel under the carpet to dry it and change it regularly until it is dry. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Knock out seat cushions and carpets regularly and vacuum thoroughly (high level).<\/p>

For spot stains, dab the stain with a damp sponge and mild soap. The wool can be dabbed dry immediately afterwards with a towel. Dry lying on a clothes horse. A dry towel can be placed underneath if the seat cushion or small rug is still very wet. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Hand wash:<\/b> Dissolve mild soap in lukewarm water in a washbasin (or tub) and soak the seat cushions in it for a few hours or overnight. The next day, wash with lukewarm water and soap. Only dab, do not rub. The seat cushions can also be washed in the shower or bath in a tub, then the shower can help to clean and rinse them.<\/p>

After washing, rinse thoroughly and leave to drain for a few hours, e.g. in the sink. Then squeeze out carefully and lay on two thick towels to dry on a clothes horse. Change the towels in between. When the cushions are almost dry, they can also be placed on the heater.<\/p>

If a centrifuge is available, an attempt can be made to spin out the cushion. Make absolutely sure that the cushion lies completely on the floor and spreads out well, otherwise the heavy cushion will damage your slingshot.

Washing machine:<\/b><\/span> Dissolve mild soap in lukewarm water in a washbasin (or tub) and soak the seat cushions in it overnight. The next day, spot-dab stains and then wash in the washing machine on the wool wash program. Pull the seat cushion into shape. Place towels under the seat cushion and dry on the drying rack while lying down. Please note that the cushions become very heavy when wet, so please do not spin at too high a speed.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

When the cushions are almost dry, pull them back onto the cushion inlays and leave to dry. Then they get a nice shape again.<\/p>

If a spin dryer is available, you can try to spin out the pillowcase. Make absolutely sure that the cushion cover lies completely on the floor and spreads out well, otherwise the heavy cushion cover will damage its sling.
