Felting Classes with Michelle Mohr – Learn Wet Felting in the Wendland Region
Discover the art of felting and create your own felted object from sheep's wool.
Loose sheep’s wool turns into sturdy felt! Using your hands, water, and soap, you can create exciting textures and surfaces with wool—from firm to fluffy.
In 2003, I learned the art of felting from Christine Birkle and subsequently worked for her. Ever since then, I’ve been fascinated by sheep’s wool. Even while studying textile design, I delved deeply into wool, felt, and the diverse ways of working with sheep’s wool as well as its properties. Today, I am happy to share the knowledge and experience I have gained since then in my classes.
In my class, you can felt your own object with an interesting texture or bring your own idea to life. If you have a specific project in mind, we’ll discuss beforehand how to make it happen. If you’d like to felt a cover for a specific item, measure it beforehand and feel free to bring it to class.
Small groups of 4–6 participants allow for personalized support with your own project.
