Michelle Mohr’s rugs are knotted, not woven. They look similar to knitted rugs, but are much firmer, less flexible and therefore very dimensionally stable. This type of production is inspired by macramé and is unique. It also has nothing in common with the knotted carpets associated with the Orient.

The design focuses on the characteristic structure of the moving surface. The interplay with the material creates a unique feel. In addition, this knotting technique can also be used to create patterns that clearly stand out from those of the weaving technique. The result is an interplay between structure and pattern. The wool rug is made from undyed sheep’s wool combined with dyed German merino wool.

Both sides of the rugs can be used as the top side. The sides have two completely different structures and thus create completely different effects.

    ]]>     All chair cushions have 2 different sides that differ in structure. They can be used on both sides and thus offer a little variety. The sheep wool is felted and then knotted which makes the chair cushions very durable and long lasting. The natural colored sheep’s wool still has a residual amount of natural wool fat, lanolin. This makes the wool dirt repellent. In case of possible stains, a little soap and a sponge can usually remove the stain by dabbing. The seat cushions are also suitable for outdoor use, as they do not mind a little moisture if they can dry well afterwards.

    The seat covers are 35 x 35 cm.

    ]]>     The large “Tönnchen” variant is just right to put it in front of the sofa or an armchair and comfortably put his feet there. They can also be used as a small stool (also called bolster or pouf). The sheep’s wool warms when sitting angehm. All pots are filled with spelt husk to provide a stable yet adaptable fit.

    Zippers are sewn into the inlays of all variants so that filling can be removed as needed to adjust the firmness and height of the pillows. The sleeves can be washed cold in the wool wash program.

    All pillows are handmade in Wendland from German and regional sheep wool.

    ]]>     These meditation cushions or seat cushions are available in two friendly color combinations. Undyed sheep wool in natural shades of gray is combined with dyed German merino wool. The cozy pillows are filled with compostable spelt husk. The can be refilled or removed through a zipper in the inlay to adjust the seat height and firmness.

    The three different sizes can be used quite differently. The smallest meditation pillow is the standard size of 32 x 15 cm, the next largest is 32 x 20 cm and slightly higher than an average mediation pillow. With these pillows you can make yourself comfortable during meditation or yoga.

    The large “Tönnchen” variant is just right to put it in front of the sofa or an armchair and comfortably put his feet there. They can also be used as a small stool.

    The cover is cold washable in the wool wash cycle. You can find detailed care instructions here.

    All pillows are handmade in Wendland from German and regional sheep wool.
